Overview

The LOOKUP formula enables administrators to look up a value in another record (for example, looking up the name of an employee's HR manager using the HR manager's employee ID).

In this example, we will create a LOOKUP formula that will use the PersonID and SupervisorID information to return a Supervisor Name.

Creating a LOOKUP Formula

  1. Download the Sample Data.

  2. Create a Master Chart in Viewer using the downloaded Sample Data.

  3. Select More > Chart Settings.

  4. Select Fields & Formulas from the Settings dropdown menu.

  5. Click on the + f(x) button to create a new field.
