Mass Creation of User Accounts

Overview

You can automatically create user accounts by uploading a comma-delimited file to OrgChart Now. You can also manage accounts manually using the Manage Users Panel in OrgChart Workbench, or Manage Users in OrgChart Viewer.

File Format

The file should be named "userfeed.txt" and should not contain a header. The information to be included for users added in this manner should include the following: User Name, Email Address, User Type, and Access Group. See example below.

The User Type denotes which level of access should be assigned to the user; Administrator, Read/Write, or Read Only.

The Access Group determines which features and information that user will be able to see.

Single Sign-On and Mass Creation of User Accounts

The user name should be set to the user's email address when used in conjunction with Single Sign-On.

Actual Format

The actual format of the file should be as follows:

Field Requirements

  • User Name must be at least six (6) characters

  • Email Address must be valid

  • User Type must be one of the following options:

    • "Admin" - Administrator User

    • "RWUser" - Read/Write User

    • "ROUser" - Read Only User

  • Access Group should be the Access Group Name or "0" for full access

Support for this has been depreciated. This column exists in legacy compatibility, but should be left blank.
