Salesforce Connector Setup (Workbench)

Overview

OrgChart Now directly connects to Salesforce. The following article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up a Salesforce connector in OrgChart Workbench.Reference the Salesforce Connector Setup (Viewer) article to set up a Salesforce connector in OrgChart Viewer.

Connecting to Workbench

  1. Login to OrgChart Workbench.

  2. Click on the Home ribbon, and then select the Import icon.

  3. Select the Salesforce icon from the list of available connectors, and then click Configure.

  4. Enter the following information in the Salesforce configuration window:

    1. User ID - Salesforce User ID

    2. Password - Salesforce Admin password

    3. Security Token - Case-sensitive, alphanumeric code generated in Salesforce. Reference the article Salesforce Configuration for more information.

    4. Sandbox - Indicate the use of a Salesforce sandbox environment.

  5. Enter the Search Query (unique to your Salesforce instance) in the Query text box. Reference the article Salesforce Configuration for more information.

  6. Type the corresponding Field Labels in the  Field Map text box (as shown below).

  7. Click on the Authentication Test button to test the connection to Salesforce. If the Authentication Test is unsuccessful, ensure that User ID, Password, and Security Token are correct.

  8.  Select OK when finished.

  9. Select Import on the list of available connectors. Follow along with the Import Wizard to begin building a chart generated from your Salesforce data.
